We are seeking a Medical Radiation Technologist I (MRT) registered with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists, with experience and knowledge of policies and procedures, to join our team providing high-quality service. The role involves working all shifts and on-call as assigned, performing X-ray examinations, ECGs, Holter monitors, and sending results within the scope of practice of a Medical Radiologic Technologist. Reporting to the on-site supervisor, the MRT will deliver exemplary patient care, adhering to regional policies and procedures. The scope of practice ranges from basic to highly complex procedures within the diagnostic imaging department.
Description:
As an MRT I, you will perform various standard radiological imaging examinations to assist in disease and pathology diagnosis. Responsibilities include interpreting physician requisitions, preparing patients, producing diagnostic images, and maintaining equipment. Procedures may include general and portable radiography, mobile and surgical suite examinations, and fluoroscopy where required.
Qualifications include completion of an accredited MRT diploma, active or eligible registration with the ACMDTT, and current BCLS-HCP certification. Preferred skills include collaboration, organization, communication, teamwork, initiative, judgment, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and adherence to radiation protection and safety protocols. Epic (Connect Care) access is also preferred.
