Job summary

AB Precision Lab Zone at High Prairie Health Complex seeks a casual Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to join our supportive team. You will handle daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Eligible candidates hold an accredited MLT program, with registration or eligibility, and experience with Vitros XT, Access II, Sysmex, Triage, iSTAT and EPIC is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
• Preferred: Vitros XT, Access II, Sysmex, Triage, iSTAT, EPIC & phlebotomy skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples.
• Perform routine and specialized procedures in specimen processing for diagnosis, treatment and research.

You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.
