Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) is seeking a Quality MLT I to support our Quality Management System and drive continual improvement. The role involves processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples in a hybrid work setting with 1–3 days on site per week in Calgary.
Reporting to the Quality Lead, you must have an accredited MLT program, be eligible for CMLTA registration, and have 3+ years of MLT experience with evidence in document development and revision.

In addition, this position may assist with tasks associated with external and internal assessment, and non-conforming event reporting.The APL Quality Department is a provincial department with members located across the province. As such, work location and hybrid work arrangements may be negotiable. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement, with 1-3 days on site per week.
As a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) I, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples within the laboratory department. You will perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment and research.
Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working as an MLT, within the last five years. Minimum one (1) year experience with document development and revision within the last 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications:QMS Certificate or equivalent education. One (1) year experience with advanced user functions in an electronic document management system. Recent (in the last 5 years) experience participating in accreditation activities. Recent (in the last 5 years) experience participating in process improvement projects. Education in change management and/or project management.
