Dynacare is seeking a Laboratory Assistant Float in the Ottawa area to obtain quality blood samples, perform tests, and support patient care. This on-site, permanent full-time role involves venipuncture, data entry for MOH requisitions, and contributing to quality metrics.
You should have Laboratory Assistant training and phlebotomy skills; MLPAO/CSMLS certification is recommended. The position offers a day shift from Monday to Friday with some Saturdays, and a supportive team environment.

As a Laboratory Assistant float, you are responsible for obtaining quality blood samples and other specimens from patients, as well as conducting other patient tests, all in keeping with Dynacare’s mission and values. Working as part of a team, you are assisting in building a positive team environment and maintaining quality metrics. You also play an important role in providing customer service to create the best possible patient experience. These can be stressful situations for patients, and you need to display empathy, care, and kindness.

Pay rate: $21.00-$24.75 per hour. The hiring pay range has been established; however, the final pay offer will be determined by taking into consideration various factors including but not limited to, level of experience and education requirements.
