Part Time Lab Technician

Overview of the role:

You'll discover a stimulating atmosphere that fosters your professional growth in a clean and safe environment. Reporting to the Supervisor, Quality, the quality assurance technician is responsible for the quality control of the products by performing raw and finished product testing according to the quality program.

Schedule:

22 hours per week plus vacation coverage

Saturday and Sunday Day Shifts – 7:00 am – 6:00 pm

Salary:

$29.25 - $32.50

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Monitor adherence to GMPs in the plant, and participate in the HACCP program.
• Collect samples of ingredients, raw materials, line, finished products, and others as required.
• Follow the Laboratory Quality Program and contribute to its implementation.
• Perform ingredient, packaging, or product QC holds when needed.
• Contribute to proper laboratory cleaning and housekeeping as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in a related discipline.
• One year of experience in microbiology and Quality Control.
• Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to demonstrate analytical and organizational skills.
• Must have the ability to work unsupervised.
