Qualifications

• Post secondary education in a chemistry related field; two years Industrial Laboratory Technologist course preferred.
• Preferably at least one year of related laboratory experience.
• Understanding of refinery process sample terminology.
• Working knowledge of Windows computer systems.
• Understanding of basic instrumental analysis methods (AA, ICP-OES, Flame photometry, pH, UV/Vis, XRF, FT-NIR).

Responsibilities

• Carry out laboratory analyses for process control, shipping, environmental, mine and water samples.
• Operate analysis equipment and perform routine calibrations and adjustments.
• Update and maintain daily analysis data files in the lab system.
