Zusammenfassung

Health Sciences North is seeking a Laboratory Manager to plan, organize, and allocate resources for the day-to-day operation of the laboratory services across Hematology, Flow Cytometry, Chemistry, and Transfusion Medicine.

The ideal candidate will hold an Advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, a current CMLTO registration, and 10+ years of medical laboratory experience with management exposure; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of a four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent (as applicable).
• Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
• Master’s Degree in a relevant Medical Laboratory Science field is preferred.
• Minimum of ten years’ experience in a Medical Laboratory department within a health care environment; management experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Plan, organize, and allocate resources to ensure day-to-day operation of the laboratory services.
• Ensure adequate staff resources, quality assurance, and maintenance/improvement of the Quality Management System.
• Develop standards and monitor performance; manage budgets and reporting.
• Lead recruitment, credentialing, training, orientation, and scheduling of staff.
• Promote safety, OH&S, and continuous professional development.
