Actlabs is seeking a hands-on Laboratory Manager to manage our Fredericton geological sample preparation facility.
This facility performs geological sample preparation only. This is not a chemistry or analytical laboratory position.
The operation prepares rock, drill core and other geological materials for subsequent analysis at other Actlabs laboratories. The work involves receiving, sorting, drying, crushing, splitting, pulverizing, packaging and shipping geological samples.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working directly on the production floor alongside employees and will take an active role in maintaining production, troubleshooting equipment and improving workflow.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in industrial production, mineral sample preparation, mining, mechanical maintenance, crushing or processing equipment, rather than candidates whose experience is primarily analytical chemistry.
