Job summary

Semex in Saint-Hyacinthe seeks a Laboratory Assistant for our culture media production lab, reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor - Media Production. This on-site role supports daily lab operations five days a week.

You will clean and sterilize equipment, prepare sterile workstations, manage inventory, and assist with media exports and quality control, while maintaining meticulousness and autonomy.

About the role

We are currently seeking a Laboratory Assistant in our culture media production laboratory located in St-Hyacinthe. The successful candidate will report to the Laboratory Supervisor - Media Production.

What you will do:

• Clean and sterilize equipment
• Identificate equipment; prepare workstations sterilely
• Place orders and track inventory
• Participate in media exports to our various partners and clients
• Participate in the media quality control process

What it takes to succeed:

• A high school diploma
• Experience in a production laboratory, an asset
• Meticulousness and rigor

This is an in-person position based in Saint-Hyacinthe, requiring on-site work five days per week. The position offers an annual starting wage of $20/hour with the potential for additional compensation based on relevant experience and qualifications.
