Job summary

Southlake Health in Newmarket, ON is seeking a Laboratory Technician (LT) for phlebotomy and ECG duties within a hospital setting. The LT will perform clinical lab tasks under supervision and support other laboratory activities.

The role requires OSMT certification, the Laboratory Technician credential, and at least 1 year of related experience. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate from OSMT required.
• Graduate of Laboratory Technician training program.
• Minimum of 1 year or equivalent experience.
• Experience in performing phlebotomy and ECGs.
• Hospital experience is an asset.

About the role:

The Laboratory Technician (LT) provides a professional service in performing phlebotomy and electrocardiogram. In addition the LT performs other laboratory technical and non-technical functions under supervision.
