Job summary

OSI Electronics, a division of OSI Systems, is seeking a Lab Technician to support analytical testing and wastewater monitoring on the afternoon shift (3:00pm–11:30pm) in Toronto. The role requires a basic lab background, attention to safety, and accurate documentation of results.

Responsibilities include sampling, reagent prep, instrument calibration, and collaboration with QA, Engineering and Maintenance to ensure data quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in a laboratory setting. Experience in routine sample analysis desired.
  • Must be able to work with, and properly handle, lab waste/chemicals as per Company procedures.
  • Printed circuit board manufacturing knowledge is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, CVS, UV-Vis, XRF, and titration procedures is a plus.
  • Must demonstrate effective skills in troubleshooting, problem solving and team building.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in the business language (English).

  • Testing all chemical incoming, in-process, spent process & wastewater samples for internal/external use.
  • Prepare lab re-agents for analytical instrumental testing.
  • Partner with the Quality Assurance, Engineering & Maintenance Departments to provide chemical results of sample testing.
  • Follow appropriate methodologies and SOPs as required.
  • Document activities and report results in a concise and accurate manner.
  • Label and characterize containers as per the Transportation of Dangerous Goods for proper disposal of spent solutions and sludge.
  • Calibrate and maintain chemical instruments and tools.
  • Inspect, replenish, analyze and maintain the wastewater system.
  • Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.
  • Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

PFC Flexible Circuits Limited, a division of OSI Electronics, is seeking a Lab Technician who will be responsible for following methodologies, performing routine analysis, monitoring process lines & wastewater treatment system, and performing required maintenance on equipment.


This individual will support afternoon shift operations (3:00pm to 11:30pm).



  • This position offers a $0.75 per hour shift differential for second shift hours of operation ( 3:00pm to 11:30pm ).***

Pay may range from $21.00 to $21.00 hourly
