Job Opportunity: Laboratory Technician

Position Details:

• Schedule: Friday to Monday, 7:30 am – 6:00 pm
• Type: Permanent Full-Time (40 hours)

Job Summary

The Lab Technician conducts testing using titration, wet chemistry, and physical analysis techniques, while supporting logistics and efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and final products using ICP, HPLC, ELISA, and basic lab tests, ensuring compliance with pharmacopeial or internal methods.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the lab, including equipment maintenance, chemical handling, and waste disposal.
• Report and participate in investigations related to lab and product excursions, out-of-specification, or non-conformance issues.
• Support process improvements and system enhancements.
• Develop and revise QC methods, SOPs, and work procedures; assist in maintaining reference standards and participating in product specification updates.
• Utilize lab information management software (LIMS) effectively from sample login to completion.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
• Experience in an analytical lab setting.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to lift items up to 15 kg.
• Familiarity with LIMS and Lean Six Sigma training are assets.
