Job summary

ALS Vancouver seeks a Layout Clerk to efficiently process incoming samples and organize data in laboratory systems, ensuring accuracy and timely submission to meet turnaround goals.

You will work independently and as part of a team, handling sample reception, labeling, and data-entry tasks while maintaining high quality service for clients and couriers. Shifts include day, afternoon, and weekend work, with safety procedures in place.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in fast-paced production/processing environment preferred.
• Basic laboratory safety knowledge is an asset.
• Experience with chemicals or labs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities of sample reception/layout clerks.
• Serve as the primary contact for sample reception questions from lab staff and Account Managers.
• Coordinate incoming work and prioritize based on holding times and rush TAT.
• Handle subcontract samples and coordinate with Shipping.
• Ensure quality customer service in all client interactions.
