Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a professional to join its Laboratory team as a Phlebotomist. You will collect inpatient and outpatient specimens, receive and process samples, and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure accurate lab testing.

The role involves communicating with physicians and other staff about referral lab tests, performing phlebotomy procedures, and handling additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory related; or related field.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing.
• Communicate with nursing regarding patient specimens.
• Refer specimens to outside laboratories.
• Interact with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
