Job summary

Public Health Ontario (PHO) role within the Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion seeks a Laboratory Attendant 2 for the London Laboratory. You will log, process, and manage specimens, enter results in the LIS, and support daily lab operations under a 1-month contract with part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory safety procedures.
• Experience with data entry and specimen handling.

Responsibilities

• Logs, sorts, and labels specimens for testing.
• Transports samples to the testing laboratory as required.
• Prepares and processes samples up to result interpretation.
• Enters data in the Laboratory Information System with accuracy.
• Manages inventory and stock, cleans and maintains equipment.
• Answers inquiries and resolves issues related to samples.
