Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a 384-bed not-for-profit Level 2 Trauma Center located in Carmichael, California. Responsibilities

The incumbent accurately and efficiently processes all lab specimens with appropriate use of the hospital and laboratory information systems.

The incumbent shall demonstrate behaviors consistent with the core (Mercy) values in support of Mercy San Juan Medical Center and the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health.

Qualifications

Requirements:

1. Lab Assistant/phlebotomist in an acute care hospital. 1 year experience preferred.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory terminology, aseptic technique, laboratory tests, specimen handling, and blood collection techniques as demonstrated by CAP required competency assessment and organizational requirements.
3. California CPT-1 or CPT-2 certification or other California state certification permitting phlebotomy.
