Job summary

Leesta, part of Pursuit Aerospace, seeks a Continuous Improvement Leader to drive Kaizen initiatives across manufacturing operations. You will partner with the Site General Manager and lead workshops, applying PPS principles to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

The role requires hands-on strategic leadership with a focus on standard work, waste elimination, and mentoring teams in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated leadership in Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Operations, Engineering, or Quality.
  • Experience with Kaizen tools such as 3P, Takt Time, Standard Work Combination Sheets, Standard WIP, and Moonshine.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to the Site General Manager and a key member of the site leadership team.
  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen workshops and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and sustainability.
  • Embrace servant-leadership and respect for humanity principles to build collaboration.
  • Drive the implementation of training and mentorship programs on Kaizen principles and PPS (Pursuit Production Systems) to build the culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with PPS principles and established standards through effective daily management and performance monitoring.
  • Develop single-piece-flow solutions for high volume/high revenue product lines using standard work, right-sized equipment, and other Kaizen principles.
  • Identify and lead cost-reduction, waste-elimination, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Execute initiatives from the Division KPO Director and maintain Kaizen resources, training materials, and standard tools.
  • Maintain accountability for Kaizen Newspaper Action Items, ensuring timely follow-up, completion, and measurable results.

Job description

At Leesta, recently acquired by Pursuit Aerospace, we manufacture precision aerospace components for some of the world's leading aircraft engine and aerospace manufacturers.

We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Leader (also known as a Kaizen Promotion Office (KPO) Leader) to join our team and play a key role in driving operational excellence. As a member of the leadership team, you will lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives that impact safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience;
  • Minimum of 5+ years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated leadership in Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Operations, Engineering, or Quality;
  • Experience with Kaizen tools such as 3P, Takt Time, Standard Work Combination Sheets, Standard WIP, and Moonshine;
  • Experience leading Kaizen workshop teams, cost-reduction projects, and process improvement initiatives;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing employees and leaders.
  • Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, and change management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written) is required.

Working conditions: This role requires up to 10% travel, including visits to other Pursuit sites, suppliers, or industry events as needed. International travel may be necessary.
