We are looking for awesome Korean-Speaking Personal Support Workers to work in Toronto with a client near O'Connor Drive and Curity Avenue in East York.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans.
- Provide companionship and light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a senior stay at home).
- Prepare meals in accordance to the client and / or the family\'s request (must be open to preparing different kinds of cuisine).
- Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker
- Assists clients in all activities of daily living / hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth.
- Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises.
- Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly.
- Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description.
- Completes records and documents accurately and thoroughly.
Schedule
- Client is looking for care on any day of the week, as much as possible. Please state your availability in your application.
- Client is looking for someone who will be with them long-term and can provide consistent care and communicate in Korean.
Requirements
- An asset if you own vehicle and have a valid driver\'s licence (not required)
- Negative TB Test completed within the last year
- Personal Support Worker Certification or International nursing / doctorate Certification
- Valid CPR / First Aid Certificate
- Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion
- COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario’s Human Rights Code
- Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English and must be able to speak Korean to communicate with client.
- Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Designers when needed.
