Job summary

Swiss Chalet is hiring a Line Cook at our location. You will complete line checks, ensure the quality of food, and plate dishes to specifications to deliver a perfect dining experience for guests.

You will maintain cleanliness, follow health and safety policies, and assist with opening/closing tasks. The role rewards reliability, teamwork, and a proactive attitude with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience as a line cook or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Energetic, confident and willing to learn.
• Follows standards and procedures consistently.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Willing to help with prep and dishes as needed.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Capable of maintaining cleanliness and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Complete line checks to ensure enough product is prepared and kept ready for service.
• Ensure the quality of food is outstanding each and every time.
• Plate food to specifications to create a perfect dining experience.
• Deliver the Perfect Guest Experience by ensuring all standards are being executed and exceeded.
• Demonstrate behaviours consistent with Recipe's principles.
• Keep the work area, utensils and production equipment clean and sanitized at all times.
• Perform opening, closing and cleaning tasks as instructed.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures in the Health and Safety Program.
• Follow safe food handling procedures at all times.
