Job summary

Marriott International in Whistler, BC, is seeking a Kitchen Steward (Dishwasher) for an immediate start. This full-time hourly role supports the kitchen by keeping dish, glass, pot and pan areas clean and well-organized in a busy hospitality setting at Westin.

The position requires physical stamina and ability to lift and move items as part of daily duties. The role emphasizes hygiene, safety, and teamwork, with a focus on delivering consistent cleanliness across kitchen areas.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in all chemical products
• Train in all food safety sanitation standards
• Must be in good physical condition
• Heavy lifting will be expected
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to at least 6 hours
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighting up to 150 lbs. occasionally

Responsibilities

• Ensure all areas in the kitchen are cleaned according to hygienic and safety standards
• Set up of dish-wash and pot-wash area
• Clean and maintain catering equipment
• Remove garbage
• Recycle all paper, plastic glass, cardboard and tin products
• Clean delivery areas
• Assist in plating Banquet functions
• All other duties as assigned
• Ability to provide a satisfactory criminal record check
