Description
Member of the BOH management team, compensated on an hourly basis, assisting other managers with shift execution of culinary and kitchen operations in alignment with the Company's Core Values, policies, Food Safety & Sanitation standards, and quality assurance to ensure the best guest and employee experience. The KM models and acts in accordance with Legal Sea Foods policies and standards.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead restaurant BOH shift and BOH Department employees in the absence of a senior BOH manager to ensure smooth restaurant operations, including opening and closing duties.
- Handle employee relations issues/concerns and guest complaints during shift when the BOH manager on duty is not present.
- Assist with staffing, including participating in the hiring process.
- Manage job assignments, break rotations, and delegation of tasks during shift when manager on duty is not present.
- Responsible for ordering products in the absence of the BOH manager on duty.
- As opener/closer, ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Adhere to operational guidelines, including food specifications, ticket time obligations, sanitation procedures, allergy procedures, and food quality walkthroughs.
- Assist with restaurant paperwork and recordkeeping, including employee system entries and maintaining personnel files.
- Follow and enforce company standards, protocols, and policies related to safety, sanitation, and respectful workplace.
Qualifications
- Proficient in all culinary stations with Lead Cook status or equivalent.
- Articulate and knowledgeable in sanitation inspections/walk-throughs.
- Ability to take direction and delegate effectively.
- Promote teamwork and work well on a team.
- Effective communication skills and proficiency with company systems.
- Ability to work with computers and POS systems for shift-based responsibilities.
- Lead by example with good judgment.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Satisfactory background check including criminal history.
Minimum Education & Training
- Knowledge of allergy procedures.
- ServeSafe and CPR-certified.
- Guest Relations and Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation Prevention Training.
- Knowledge of Legal Sea Foods menus, inventory, and ordering systems.
- Understanding of daily financial metrics and goals.
