Job summary

Whitehorse Chamber is hiring kitchen helpers/dishwashers to join our Back of House Staff. The role involves washing dishes, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

Job Tasks

• Collect, wash, and stack dishes and cookware.
• Follow health and safety procedures/standards.
• Prepare and utilize soap/chemical solutions.
• Consistently follow task lists and quality standards.
• Update supervisors when stock of soap/chemical solutions or supplies are low.
• Inform managers about broken or malfunctioning equipment.
• Assists with various cleaning duties as needed.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach to coworkers and customers.
• Closes the kitchen following the closing checklist for kitchen stations and assists other is closing the kitchen.
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.
• Prep food products to supply kitchen stations as needed.
• Perform other kitchen and related duties assigned by the management staff.
• Job environment requires the candidate to lift 50 lbs on a daily basis and be aware of safe work practices, health and safety and other practices. Candidate to maintain food safety certificates applicable in Yukon Territory.
