Job summary

Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce is seeking motivated food service workers to join our team. We are filling four vacancies for Counter Attendant and Food Preparer roles in a fast-paced setting.

Hours are 35-40 per week with shift work; fluency in English required; no experience necessary. Benefits include medical, dental, optical and gas discount, plus performance bonus and educational assistance.

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada; preference given to Whitehorse residents.

Responsibilities

• Portion and wrap foods
• Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
• Take customers' orders
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
• Package take-out food
• Stock refrigerators and freezers
• Sanitize and wash dishes by hand
• Operate conventional oven and deep fryer
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces and equipment
