Job summary

Autism Services is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented kitchen helper to support our busy kitchen operations. You will wash and sanitize dishes, utensils and equipment, keep work areas clean, and assist with storage and supply handling during shifts.

The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 23 kg, and stand for long periods. Evening and morning shifts are available, with on-site parking provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs.
• Place dishes in storage areas and receive/unpack supplies.
• Use manual and electrical appliances to process food items.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work surfaces, cupboards and storage areas.

Tasks

• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
• Place dishes in storage area
• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
• Handle and store cleaning products
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash
• Sharpen kitchen knives
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
