Job summary

Gestion L Traversy in La Tuque, QC is hiring a Kitchen Helper to support daily kitchen operations. The role includes dishwashing, food prep, stocking, and maintaining clean dining and kitchen areas.

This permanent, full-time position requires 1–2 years of relevant experience and a secondary school diploma or equivalent. Compensation is $18.50 per hour with a 70-hour bi-weekly schedule and a pension plan benefit.

Responsibilities

• Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables.
• Carrying and replace linen
• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
• Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
• Place dishes in storage area
• Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
• Serve customers at counters or buffet tables
• Stock refrigerators and salad bars
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
