Job summary

PK YALE FOOD INC. o/a Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen in Chilliwack, BC is hiring a Kitchen helper to support daily kitchen operations.

The role is permanent, full-time with day and weekend shifts; starting promptly. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, handling supplies, storing items in refrigerators and cupboards, removing garbage, sharpening knives, sweeping and washing floors, and preparing vegetables and fruits.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• No formal education required.
• Training will be provided to the selected candidate.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, cabinets, storage areas, appliances and equipment.
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash regularly.
• Sharpen kitchen knives.
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors.
• Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruits.

• The candidate must clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cabinets, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
• The candidate must be capable of handling and storing cleaning products.
• The candidate will be responsible for receiving, unpacking and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
• The candidate will be responsible for removing kitchen garbage and trash regularly.
• The candidate must sharpen kitchen knives.
• The candidate will be responsible for sweeping, mopping, washing and polishing floors.
• The candidate will be responsible for washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruits.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
