Job summary

Timberland Inn & Restaurant in Swan River, MB is seeking a Kitchen Helper to join our small, hands-on team. This permanent, full-time role offers 40 hours per week with Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning and Morning shifts.

You will be expected to maintain a clean kitchen, assist with receiving and storing supplies, handle waste, clean floors, and prep vegetables. Fluency in English and a high school diploma are required; training is provided by the employer.

Responsibilities

• The candidate must clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cabinets, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
• The candidate will be responsible for receiving, unpacking and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas.
• The candidate will be responsible for removing kitchen waste and trash regularly.
• The candidate will be responsible for sweeping, mopping, washing and polishing floors.
• The candidate will be responsible for washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruits.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
