Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. is seeking a kitchen assistant to support dishwashing, basic food preparation, and related tasks in a restaurant setting. The role involves handling dishwashing duties, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with food prep to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units.
• Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware.
• Scour pots and pans and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Package take-out food and wrap portions for service.
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators and storage areas.
• Maintain floors and work surfaces by sweeping, mopping and cleaning.

WORK SETTING

• Restaurant

TASKS

• Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
• Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
• Scour pots and pans
• Keep records of the quantities of food used
• Package take-out food
• Portion and wrap foods
• Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
• Handle and store cleaning products
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash
• Sharpen kitchen knives
• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
