Fueling Brains Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Kitchen Helper to join our dynamic team at our New Brighton campus.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

1. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
2. Wash dishes according to AHS specifications.
3. Safely store or dispose of leftover food.
4. Prepare food service containers for return to caterers.
5. Portion food for classrooms.
6. Prepare and deliver food to classrooms.
7. Collect dishes, utensils, and containers after meals.
8. Check food quality through taste testing.
9. Support housekeeping and disinfecting in relevant areas.
10. Scrub dishes and containers.
11. Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
12. Handle sharp materials safely, such as box cutters, can openers, and knives.
13. Handle hot and cold containers safely.
14. Lift and carry boxes safely.
15. Push, pull, and move racks and carts safely.
16. Stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
17. Bend, lean, and reach as needed.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

1. Completed Police Background Check with Vulnerable Sector.
2. Ability to work independently and in a team.
3. Experience in food service environment.
4. Experience in a childcare setting is an asset.
5. Excellent physical condition; able to lift 20-60 lbs.
6. Strong command of English.
7. Self-motivated and results-oriented.
8. Flexible scheduling.
9. Mandatory advanced food safety certification.
10. First Aid and Child Care certifications are assets but not required.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, with expected hours of 20-25 per week.
