Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking a General Kitchen Helper to join our Nisutlin Bay Bridge Lodge in Teslin, Yukon. As the General Kitchen Helper, you will play a key role with food preparation, sanitation, and safety by actively following our health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work safely with all the equipment.
  2. Basic preparation of food, including the preparation of vegetables and snacks.
  3. Kitchen, general equipment, and facility clean up (table, floors, etc.).
  4. Inspect the equipment and food on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  5. Ensure your station is always manned and supplies are fully stocked.
  6. Follow requirements of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
  7. Other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications:

  1. Valid Food Safe Certificate.
  2. Experience working in a camp, kitchen or restaurant environment is considered an asset.
  3. Excellent people skills.
  4. Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised or unsupervised.
  5. Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  6. Team player.
