Job Summary

The Kitchen Helper supports the kitchen team with food preparation, cleaning, and organization to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role is vital for maintaining cleanliness, assisting chefs, and helping with basic food prep.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation tasks (washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, etc.)
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including dishwashing, sanitizing surfaces, and waste management
• Assist cooks and chefs by delivering ingredients, tools, and prepared dishes
• Stock and organize food supplies, dry goods, and kitchen equipment
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
• Help with plating and garnishing when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen supervisors or chefs

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
• Previous kitchen experience is an asset but not required
