Job summary

ESS Canada is seeking a General Helper to support daily operations, including cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing. The role involves dispensing food for next day production, maintaining safety standards, and rotating stock with adherence to sanitation requirements.

Candidates should have previous food service experience, and a Food Handler Certificate is a plus. The position offers overtime after 44 hours per week and benefits after 3 months, with travel and accommodations

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Ability to work in various workstations including meal distribution area (packaging).
• Willing to learn skid wrapping of finished product.
• Food preparation and cooking as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Dispense food for next day of production and plate individual meals.
• Conduct work in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Dishwashing and other tasks as required.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.

• Rotation: 21 Days On/7 Days Off

The hourly wage for this position is $19.97. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
