Job summary

Momentum Health Corporation in Calgary is seeking a full-time Kinesiologist to join a multidisciplinary team focused on evidence-informed care. The successful candidate will deliver therapeutic exercise programs and collaborate with physiotherapists, chiropractors and massage therapists.

This role offers hands-on mentorship, a start date as soon as possible, a 1-year commitment, and benefits after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology required.
• Excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Previous volunteer or work experience in a physiotherapy or multidisciplinary clinic is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prescription, application, supervision and education of patient’s Therapeutic Exercise Programs including: AROM, PROM, stretching, proprioception, coordination, balance and strengthening
• Assist Physiotherapy assessments and re-evaluations
• Learn and administer several hands-on treatment techniques including basic trigger point release, MRT, Instrumented Soft Tissue Release, Friction massage and hold-relax stretching
• Application and removal of modalities including heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS, IFC, micro-current and Muscle Stimulation
• Assisting with clinic up-keep such as laundry, cleaning patient beds, filling ultrasound gel, and cleaning machines and tools
• Greet patients and ensure they have a comfortable experience in the clinic
• A wonderful opportunity to network with other professionals in the field such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, and registered massage therapists
• This position includes the option for benefits after ninety (90) days of employment

The clinic offers innovative programs such as GLA:D Back, GLA:D Hip & Knee as well as collaborative care with Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Massage Therapists all in-house!

We are presently seeking a Full-Time enthusiastic Kinesiologist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate must be able to commit to at least a one-year term.

Hours: Monday 10:30am-7:30pm, Tuesday 9:00am to 1:30pm, Wednesday 10:00-6:00pm, and Thursday 10:30am-7:30pm
