Job summary

Momentum Health in Calgary is seeking a full-time Kinesiologist to join our multidisciplinary clinic in West Springs. You will deliver Therapeutic Exercise Programs and support patient recovery within a collaborative team.

The successful candidate holds a Degree in Kinesiology and knowledge of anatomy and physiology, with prior clinic experience preferred. Benefits begin after 90 days, with opportunities to participate in in-house programs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Kinesiology is required.
• Excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Past work in a Physiotherapy or multidisciplinary clinic is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prescribe and supervise Therapeutic Exercise Programs (AROM, PROM, stretching, balance, strengthening).
• Assist with physiotherapy assessments and re-evaluations.
• Learn and apply hands-on treatment techniques (trigger point release, MRT, soft tissue release).
• Apply and remove modalities (heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS, IFC, micro-current).
• Support clinic upkeep and greet patients to ensure a positive experience.
• Network with other professionals in the field to support care.

We are presently seeking a Full-Time enthusiastic Kinesiologist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate must be able to commit to at least a one-year term.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prescription, application, supervision and education of patient’s Therapeutic Exercise Programs including: AROM, PROM, stretching, proprioception, coordination, balance and strengthening
• Assist Physiotherapy assessments and re-evaluations
• Learn and administer several hands-on treatment techniques including basic trigger point release, MRT, Instrumented Soft Tissue Release, Friction massage and hold relax stretching
• Application and removal of modalities including heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS, IFC, micro-current and Muscle Stimulation
• Assisting with clinic up-keep such as laundry, cleaning patient beds, filling ultrasound gel, and cleaning machines and tools
• Greet patients and ensure they have a comfortable experience in the clinic
• A wonderful opportunity to network with other professionals in the field such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, naturopathic doctors, and registered massage therapists

The Successful Candidate will have the Following Qualifications

Degree in Kinesiology

Excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology

Previous volunteer or work experience in a Physiotherapy or Multidisciplinary clinic an asset

This position includes the option for benefits after ninety (90) days of employment
