The role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, educating clients, and advocating for their needs. The Sioux Lookout Area Primary Care Team (SLAPCT) provides primary health care, including chronic disease management, health promotion and disease prevention, to patients in Sioux Lookout Region including the 28 communities in the Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority catchment.
Under the Sioux Lookout Area Primary Care Team (SLAPCT) and within the scope of practice of a Kinesiologist (Kin), the Kin will be responsible for providing primary health care to clients within the Sioux Lookout area. The Kin works with the client and the community to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention, as well as collaborates and consults with members of an interdisciplinary team to address issues experienced by clients and within the community. The Kin will provide holistic and integrated care to all ages within the Sioux Lookout catchment area, including the 33 First Nations communities.
The Kinesiologist is directly accountable to the POD Manager.
Salary Range : $77,612 - $113,338 per annum
