Job summary

CityKidz in Hamilton is seeking a part-time Community Outreach Specialist to build nurturing relationships with children and caregivers, through weekly Home Visits and Saturday Programming. You will serve as a CityKidz ambassador, engaging families, sharing information about programs, and identifying community needs in your designated area.

This role supports the Programs team, works up to 13 hours per week, and requires flexible evenings and weekends, a driver’s license, and the ability to work

Qualifications

  • Ability to build relationships with children and caregivers.
  • Experience coordinating volunteer activities and events.
  • Comfortable working in diverse, faith-informed communities.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Home Visits in Hamilton, engaging families and sharing CityKidz information.
  • Serve as a bus leader, ensuring safety and injecting program excitement.
  • Support Saturday programming logistics and participant recruitment.
  • Plan and participate in community outreach and events.
  • Complete weekly reporting and maintain neighbourhood maps and metrics.
