Job summary

SteriMax Inc. is seeking a Key Account Manager to manage and grow its Hospital & Retail portfolio. This role involves collaborating with internal teams on strategic development and ensuring the company meets sales targets in Ontario's competitive healthcare market. The ideal candidate will possess a strong network in Ontario's hospital sector and experience in hospital procurement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of Hospital specific sales experience, ideally in the generic industry.
  • Experience with strong Ontario hospital procurement network relationships.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian hospital market dynamics.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Key Account Manager, Hospital
Reports to: Director of Sales – Ontario & Western Canada
Job Location: Ideal location GTA

General Summary:

This position is focused on the management and growth of the company’s Hospital & Retail portfolio. This includes effective management of the current base business and positioning SteriMax as a “Best in Class” industry partner. Contribute to collaborative approach with launch team planning and executing successful launch plans for the company’s robust pipeline.

This successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Director of Sales and other internal departments to develop strategies that support the companies continued growth and as well as to develop value-added offerings which differentiate SteriMax from its competitors.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure SteriMax meets budgeted sales and profit targets by executing successful commercial strategies in assigned territory and collaborating with commercial team to contribute to broader company targets.
  • Promotion of SteriMax overall portfolio with focus on launches and innovative products brought to the market
  • Develop and maintain interaction with customers while identifying and building strong relationships with KOLs supporting SteriMax values and products
  • Develop deep understanding of customer base and provide critical feedback to commercial team on changes and challenges in the market both current and future
  • Develop an account management culture with large centers in Ontario through regular business reviews and active support to the hospital key stakeholders.
  • Ensure Hospital accounts are compliant to GPO tender awards and address any risks to achieving awarded business value in specific accounts
  • Monitor and analyze data and market conditions to identify risks and opportunities to base business. Build and implement strategies to mitigate risks or downsides and capture opportunities based on understanding of customer base and competitive landscape
  • Work closely with Director and Head of Sales to set call targets and executing a call schedule to visit key accounts with the goal of maintaining strong relationships with customers
  • Active participation in assigned conferences to continue building and expanding our network of customers and contacts
  • Seek feedback from customers about SteriMax service levels, product configuration, labeling, packaging etc. and provide valuable insights to Senior Management
  • Seek to understand competitive product or service gaps from Hospital Channel Accounts and provide feedback to Senior Management
  • Provide competitive intelligence feedback to the Senior Management Team

  • Understand trends in medical treatment and competitor products for pipeline planning purposes and to ensure effective marketing and selling of hospital portfolio
  • Ability to work on their own and within a Team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; innovative thinker
  • Able to adapt to change quickly
  • Able to travel and possesses a valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Specialty/Oncology experience is an asset
  • Experience responding to tender is an asset

Skilled with MS Office, Salesforce, Dayforce, Concur and SAP

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or science preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years of Hospital specific sales experience, ideally in the generic industry
  • Experienced professional with strong Ontario hospital procurement network relationships
  • Knowledge of Canadian hospital market dynamics and re-imbursement mechanisms, provincial formulary market access process is an asset
  • Knowledge of the Sterile Compounding is an asset
