The Salvation Army in Summerside is seeking a Christmas Kettle Campaign Coordinator for a temporary contract. You will oversee several kettle locations in a local zone, organize staff and volunteers, and ensure shifts are staffed and donations secured.
Salary and travel are tied to the campaign; successful candidates will have customer service and money handling experience, flexibility for mall locations, and a valid PEI Class G driver’s license.

Position Purpose summary: The Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign is part of a century old tradition to contribute towards building strong communities by helping TSA to give hope to others. The Christmas Kettle Coordinator position is a short-term contract position. The successful candidate is responsible for oversight of several Christmas Kettle locations in a given geographical zone area. Zone locations include shopping malls, grocery stores and retail outlets. They organize, direct, and supervise the work performed by Christmas Kettle Campaign Workers. They will also ensure adequate staffing is met prior to and during each shift.
This is a temporary position.
Shifts may include days, afternoons, evenings, weekend shifts, and split shifts, Monday through Saturday. Applicable shifts include a ½ hour unpaid meal break.
Flexibility in scheduling is required, as the hours may increase as per operational requirements.
Work environment is typically in malls/stores
Standing for long periods will be required and exposure to cold weather
Required to wear appropriate Salvation Army identification.
Local travel is associated with this position.
Some high school coursework, completion of high school is an asset.
