DRAGONLUCK Kennels is a small business in Stittsville, ON K2S 1B6. We are customer-centric, challenging, demanding, and our goal is to provide a fun, safe, healthy environment where client dogs and staff can spend their days. Staff should consider themselves to be 'clean freaks'.

Liking dogs is important but recognition that the job requires physical fitness, ability to be flexible in approach, resilient, and mentally stable.

Working in a team, the successful candidate will be provided with training on the job and online. Reliable transportation is required (no public transportation available). The staff spend their days outside so candidates will be asked to wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

The staff at Dragonluck Kennels are responsible for the total care of the dogs and the facility. Daily tasks include:

• Walking and playing with dogs; cleaning outdoor and indoor spaces of excrement; cleaning dishes, blankets, floors, crates, runs, and washing dogs themselves.
• Staff will complete online training courses as supplied by the owner and participate in in-person training such as a pet first aid course.
• Client interactions, giving tours, answering emails, doing online booking, and invoicing will also be part of the job.
• There will also be some tasks related to maintenance of the grounds and property.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18 per hour + 4% vacation pay

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• Daily shift divided into 2 shifts from noon to 2 pm lunch break for employees.
• 8-hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

Stittsville, ON K2S 1B6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Commercial dog care (not family pet): 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person
