The Vancouver School Board is hiring an Information Technology Support A to install, maintain and support computer equipment and software within the Learning and Information Technology Division. This 100% in-person role is based at the VSB Education Centre (1580 West Broadway) and involves 7-hour workdays, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include first-level desk-side support, ticketing system management, and coordinating with vendors for hardware repairs.

Competenze

High school diploma plus one year post-secondary tech training and one year IT experience
Experience in a K-12 education environment is an asset
Ability to implement, troubleshoot and support Apple and Windows/MacOS platforms and devices
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Must have valid BC driver’s license and willingness to travel within the District
Ability to lift/carry/move up to 50 lbs

Mansioni

Provide 1st level and deskside IT support to staff and students via ticketing system, phone, on-site, or remote access
Record, categorize, prioritize, and assign service requests
Support laptops, desktops, mobile devices, network equipment, and printers
Document work in the ticketing system; communicate with clients to schedule service tickets
Coordinate warranty and third-party repairs for VSB hardware
Maintain incident records and asset databases
Perform other related duties as required
