Job description

Dorval, Quebec | Full-time, in-office
Build your career in wealth management.

Are you ambitious, competitive, and interested in finance, investing, and financial markets? Do you want a career where your income and professional growth are tied to your performance?

At Diligence Wealth Management, we're looking for motivated individuals who want more than an entry-level job. This is an opportunity to develop the skills needed to become an independent Wealth Advisor, build your own client relationships, and grow a long-term business.

With strong performance, total compensation can exceed $100,000 per year within your first or second year.

Your results, client acquisition, and development will determine your progression.

You don't need an established client base or years of industry experience. We value ambition, communication skills, discipline, and a willingness to learn.

Your role

You'll work alongside experienced wealth advisors and learn how to develop your own client base.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Business development: Identify and connect with prospective clients, including professionals, entrepreneurs, and business owners.
  • Prospecting: Make outbound calls, initiate conversations, and schedule meetings with potential clients.
  • Relationship building: Learn to identify clients' financial needs and develop lasting professional relationships.
  • Financial knowledge: Build your understanding of investments, portfolio management, and financial planning.
  • Client development: Gradually take responsibility for client relationships as your experience grows.
  • Practice growth: Learn how to acquire assets, retain clients, and build a successful wealth management practice.
Your career path

This is designed to be a stepping stone toward becoming an independent Wealth Advisor, with a potential progression timeline of approximately 1–2 years, depending on your performance and development.

Phase 1 — Learn and prospect

Develop your sales, communication, and business development skills while learning from experienced advisors.

Phase 2 — Develop your client base

Begin managing client relationships and take on greater responsibility as your knowledge and results progress.

Phase 3 — Become an independent Wealth Advisor

Work toward managing your own book of business, developing long-term client relationships, and building a practice with significant earning potential.

Progression is based on performance, demonstrated competence, licensing requirements, and business development results.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for people with the right mindset, not necessarily the longest résumé.

Requirements:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in French and/or English; full bilingualism is not required.
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • Genuine interest in finance, investing, and financial markets.

  • Willingness to make outbound calls and develop new business.
  • Ability to work full-time from our Dorval office.
Assets:
  • A degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in sales, prospecting, customer service, or business development.
  • Knowledge of investments or financial planning.
  • Relevant financial services licenses or willingness to pursue them.
Compensation and opportunity
  • Base compensation: $24,000 CAD per year, plus performance-based compensation.
  • Earning potential: Total compensation can exceed $100,000 annually within the first or second year for strong performers.
  • Hands-on training and mentorship from experienced wealth advisors.
  • A structured development path toward becoming an independent Wealth Advisor.
