Job summary

Desjardins is seeking a Wealth Management Advisor to develop lasting relationships with members and clients, assessing needs and offering tailored financial plans, investments, and insurance solutions. You will serve mass-affluent individuals, businesses and owners across life stages to help achieve goals.

You will promote digital solutions, conduct onsite visits, and collaborate with partners to design integrated strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience.
  • Mutual fund certificate and Financial Planner title are preferred.
  • Bi-lingual French and English skills are required.
  • Ability to work one evening per week and rotating Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Advise members and clients on the best strategies and determine target outcomes.
  • Manage business relationships, assess satisfaction and service quality, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on financial services industry news, market trends and best practices.
  • Participate in outreach activities and be present in the community.
  • Conduct onsite visits of the businesses you serve.

Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field
Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers
Hold the title of Financial Planner
Knowledge of French
Advanced proficiency of English
Available to work one evening per week and on a rotating Saturday schedule

As a wealth management advisor, you’re responsible for developing and maintaining lasting and trusting business relationships with members and clients, to ensure they’re satisfied. You listen to members’ and clients’ needs, offer them advice that fits their financial situation and help them choose appropriate solutions to meet their financial goals and make their projects happen. You work closely with mass-affluent individuals, businesses and business owners across all life stages. Your client base has high business development potential. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You prepare comprehensive financial plans, targeted investment and financing strategies and insurance offers for your clients. You serve as a resource person for savings and investments, financial planning, portfolio diversification, intergenerational transfers and tax strategies. You also serve as a resource person for your team at the caisse. You use your expertise to support the financial empowerment of members and clients and to balance member/client satisfaction, business objectives, profitability and sound and prudent risk management. You promote digital solutions and help members and clients start using them. As needed, you carry out financial transactions for members and clients. You also listen to their needs and present self-serve solutions for their future transactions. You work with partners and specialists to design integrated strategies that meet the needs of members and clients. You identify business opportunities and direct members and clients to your colleagues or to other entities for their specialized or day-to-day needs. More specifically, you will be required to:

What You Bring To The Table
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers
  • Hold the title of Financial Planner
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
  • Available to work one evening per week and on a rotating Saturday schedule
