The Role

We are seeking a Junior Visual Merchandiser for our Sevenoaks location in Abbotsford, BC. You will support the store visually by creating engaging product displays, window setups, and in-store arrangements that reflect current fashion trends. Your role is vital in attracting customers, promoting products, and ensuring visual standards align with JD's brand image.

Responsibilities

• Implement weekly visual merchandising plans in the store.
• Create attractive displays to motivate customer purchases using advanced visual techniques.
• Update mannequins, displays, and windows seasonally and for special events.
• Manage in-store promotions with POS materials.
• Use Oracle sales data to optimize product placement and store layout.
• Assist in training team members on merchandising and display techniques.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and succession planning.
• Communicate visual merchandising activities and feedback to the Town Merchandiser.
• Maintain a professional and safe work environment, adhering to hygiene and safety standards.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of six months retail experience.
• Experience in visual merchandising is preferred.
• Openness to feedback and eager to learn.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Creative, imaginative, with a good sense of product flow and coordination.
