Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level

This role is for you if…

1. You get great design—not just visually, but in how people experience it. You obsess over intuitive UX, seamless interactions, and making websites feel just right.
2. You love the idea of working with creatives and brands across North America—from small businesses in Vancouver to digital-first brands pushing boundaries.
3. You’re excited to dive into Showit, SquareSpace, WordPress, and Shopify—not just using them, but figuring out which platform works best for a brand’s needs.
4. You believe in creativity with a strategy—and you’re not afraid to push the boundaries while keeping accessibility, user flow, and security in mind.
5. You thrive in a flexible, remote-first environment where we meet virtually once a month but also make time for IRL meetups (because Zoom just isn’t the same).

Your Superpowers (aka Skills & Experience)

1. Experience designing and developing user-friendly, beautiful, and high-performing websites.
2. Understanding of accessibility best practices (because a good design works for everyone).

Tech & Security Savvy

1. You know (or are eager to learn) DMARC, SPF, and DKIM for email authentication.
2. You understand SMTP, domain security, and DNS settings—or you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and figure it out.
3. You can set up SSL, configure hosting, and troubleshoot when something breaks.
4. Strong foundational knowledge of SEO, especially for blogging and website copy, preferably at an agency.
5. Highly skilled and proficient in copywriting for all types of businesses and industries.
6. Ability to optimize website content with SEO best practices in mind.
7. You love learning and improving—whether it’s through online courses, workshops, or hands-on projects (we support all of it).
8. You’re comfortable working solo but thrive in a team, especially in our collaborative, remote-first work environment. Your problem-solving skills are seen everywhere you go!
9. You believe in clear, friendly communication—whether you’re talking to a teammate, a client, or sharing ideas in a design review.

Daily Operations & Teamwork

1. Can meet deadlines and work well with a team.
2. Comfortable with daily communication in Slack to stay connected and collaborate.
3. Open to basic admin duties to support the creative process and team workflow.

Bonus Skills That Make You Even More Magical

1. Familiarity with email marketing platforms like Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Convertkit.
2. Experience with Liquid / Hydrogen (Shopify’s templating language).
3. SEO basics—site speed optimization, structured data, and best practices.
