Job summary

Salas O'Brien Canada Inc. in Woodbridge, Ontario, is seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to join our growing team.

You will assist in the design of steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation systems for heavy industrial projects across Canada and the United States, using SAP2000, RISA, Revit, and Bluebeam. You will work with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions, participate in QA/QC reviews, and contribute to project scheduling and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably in heavy industrial sectors.
• Knowledge of structural design in steel and reinforced concrete.
• Familiarity with North American codes and design standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, including calculations, reports, drawings, and 3D models.
• Support design and analysis of steel, concrete, masonry, and foundations for industrial projects.
• Use SAP2000, RISA, Revit, and Bluebeam to develop design documentation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate project documentation and contribute to scheduling and execution.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders on technical matters.
