Job summary

Salas O’Brien, Inc. is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer in Woodbridge, Ontario to drive design, analysis and delivery of complex industrial projects. You will lead deliverables, mentor staff, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in structural engineering, proficiency in SAP2000/RISA, and knowledge of North American codes. Travel within Canada is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 4 years of structural engineering experience, preferably in heavy industrial sectors.
• Experience with SAP2000, RISA, or equivalent software; knowledge of North American codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review structural deliverables: calculations, reports, drawings and 3D models.
• Perform concrete, steel, masonry design and foundation analysis for industrial projects.
• Utilize SAP2000, RISA, Revit, and Bluebeam for project design and coordination.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers, guiding their development.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient project execution.
• Contribute to planning, QA/QC, and client coordination activities.
• Communicate project requirements and schedules directly with clients.
• Support site inspections, field reviews, and construction activities as needed.
