Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Civil Engineer specializing in Structural Design in Canada. You will design robust structures for buildings, bridges, and industrial facilities from a home office, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across locations.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in civil engineering (structural), 7+ years of design experience, and proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, and Revit Structure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, structural specialization.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA is highly regarded.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in structural design.
• Proficiency with SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE or similar software.
• Experience with BIM software (Revit Structure) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, communications, and ability to work independently remotely.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure using advanced software.
• Develop detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Collaborate with remote architectural, mechanical, and electrical teams.
• Review project requirements and provide structural solutions meeting safety, aesthetics, and economy criteria.
• Conduct technical reviews of designs by junior engineers and ensure QA.
• Provide technical support during construction, addressing design queries remotely.
