Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Halifax is seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to support the growth of the office and team. You will assist in design and preparation of plans and specifications for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry, conduct studies and inspections, and provide contract administration during construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 0-2 years related experience in a structural engineering firm or construction.
• Experience with structural design software (STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage changing priorities.
• Holds a valid Class 5 driving license.

The Structural Buildings Team is currently looking for a Junior Structural Engineer to support the growth of the office and the team based out of Halifax.

Your role

• Provide contract administration services during the construction phase, including oversight of structural work execution.

The successful candidate will be expected to obtain Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) Reliability Status clearance upon hiring with an expectation to obtain Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) Secret clearance upon hiring.
