Job summary

A global engineering services firm is seeking a motivated Intermediate Structural Engineer for its Vancouver office. This position involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to participate in design tasks, conduct surveys, and supervise construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, have at least five years of experience, and be proficient with structural design software. Qualifications

  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with EGBC, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Minimum five (5) years of previous related experience in a similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

Overview

The Structural Building team is currently looking for a motivated and skilled Intermediate Structural Engineer to support the growth of the local office. This position is based out of our Vancouver office working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Your Role
  • Actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and specifications (steel, concrete, wood, masonry, etc.).
  • Conduct studies, surveys, technical reports and structural inspections.
  • Supervise the execution of structural work during the construction phase.
  • Ensure that the engineering work is produced according to the quality standards of the industry and respect the National Building Code and British Columbia Building Code.
  • Coordinate projects that impact your structural design with the other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architecture, process, etc.).
  • Maintain and develop client and stakeholder relationships.
About You
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is an asset.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with EGBC (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
