Job summary

Morskate Manufacturing is expanding in Ponoka, Alberta and seeks a dependable Structural Junior Drafter to create accurate drawings for beams, columns, stairs and handrails. You will generate models, cut lists, and CNC files, supporting fabrication and ERP workflows.

Reporting to the Drafting Supervisor, you’ll work in a collaborative, growing team with competitive wages and benefits after probation, while contributing to ongoing efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• Previous drafting experience is an asset.
• Proficiency with Tekla and SolidWorks preferred.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• English reading/writing fluency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent attendance record.
• Prepare detail drawings of part drawings, assembly drawings, etc.
• Provide fabrication with cut lists and CNC data files for the fabrication process.
• Model small miscellaneous items.
• Prioritize, organize and maintain assigned projects to meet schedules.
• Identify and assist in continual improvement processes in support of company goals.
• Create drawings for field installation.
• Import model information into ERP system.
